“ If you haven’t tried the Chicken chicarron tacos, you need to change that asap. All the food is pretty good but those are absolutely fantastic. Easily top 3 tacos in Austin, for me at least. ”
“ Great atmosphere. Menu has a lots of options and everyday of the week has a different half-off section. Portions, like the Eastside Crunch salad, are excellent. Great atmosphere. Lou’s Eastside has a fire pit and patio surrounding the staff building, with wooden picnic tables over astro-turf (dog, kid, and group-friendly) in the back, or you can grab a seat by the street when grubbing solo. Overall excellent service. The staff are always amicable and helpful. ”
“ Excellent food and space! We were looking for something near our AirBnB. This was 2 blocks away. So we gave it a shot. We can be tough to feed with one vegan and one vegetarian. But, Lou's had plenty of options for both of us. Everything was great. Outdoor seating worked fine on a 97 degree day with the mist blowing and some covered seating. Dog friendly patio is a nice bonus. Not too crowded. ”
“ May 2025 Lou’s Eastside is just plain delicious. I love their rotisserie chicken and order a Half with a side of Rotisserie Potatoes. The place has a very cool vibe where all seating is outdoor but shaded from the sun. The chicken smelled enticing and tasted wonderful. It had tremendous flavor and wanted to eat it all but had to share half of it with my loved one. The potatoes were just as good where it also had excellent seasoning on it and was soft to eat. ”
“ Stopped by on Saturday night for the 1st time and was surprised by how good the food was. We got the Avacado Jalapeno burger and the chicken tenders with fries. Both were really good. The frozen Mangonada Margarita was delicious. We will definitely be back! It was not very busy and there was plenty of seating and parking. ”

“ Golly, Lou’s was a smashing success. We pulled up kinda late-night after crushing it on a back 9 right before. And wow it delivered. Valid location. Friendly service, they give you a tip screen and a buzzer. Lots of good menu items. Breakfast till 11am. I got their vanilla shake w/ whipped cream and had to force myself not to chug it all at once. It was really good, but shake could have been a little thicker. I got the double cheeseburger and it did not disappoint. Food took about 10-15 and was super fresh and hot out the kitchen. 10/10 freshness scale. We enjoyed our time on the patio, cool vibe. Overall service was really good, very friendly and easy-going vibes. We were offered water cups (prefilled with ice) which was super nice on this hot day. Cool spot, we’ll be back! ”
